So many actors still operate with the same old school mentality:
Get a good agent → wait for auditions → do a good job → book → repeat.
But that model just isn’t enough anymore. The industry has evolved. With everything moving virtual, submissions have skyrocketed while budgets and opportunities have shifted. Even incredibly talented actors are struggling to stay visible.
And yet, I hear it all the time:
“I just need a great rep.”
“I just need that one credit.”
“I just need one big break.”
But the truth is, there is no single event that changes everything. You could have a top agent and still go months without auditions. You could book a series regular and find yourself waiting again the next year.
Talent is not enough. Waiting is not a strategy.
Taking agency is.
I get it because I was you. I started as an actor who believed talent alone would open doors. Once I began learning the business — how to position and market myself, pitch and expand my team, and authentically build industry relationships — everything shifted. I broke into TV and film, joined the union, and built a strong team of reps across markets.
That journey sparked my obsession with the business side of this industry and eventually led me to launch a coaching practice that helped hundreds of actors worldwide define their brands, sign with reps, and book across major markets.
Now, as a working talent manager, I get to impact actors’ careers in an even more direct way. I see the behind the scenes machine of how this business really runs. I see what reps, casting directors, and producers respond to, what actually works, and what doesn’t.
And that is why I created Actors Biz, one of the very few business memberships run by a current working talent manager.Inside, you will get access to what is actually current and relevant right now — real strategy, live coaching, guest sessions with top industry players, and behind the scenes tools that managers, agents, and casting use every day.
I offer a 3D perspective:
As a former actor who has lived it,
A career coach who has helped actors book worldwide,
And a manager who is in it daily, watching, guiding, and building careers from the inside out.
Because talent opens the door, but clarity, relationships, and strategy are what keep it open.
LET'S GOOOOOOOO!

Coach.Manager.No BS Biz Bestie.
I was born in the country of Georgia and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, where I started in musical theatre before training at the Theater Academy of Dramatic Arts. At 18, I moved to the United States and began working on camera, appearing in shows like NCIS: Hawai’i (CBS), Chicago Fire (NBC), Little America (Apple TV+), and more, along with award-winning independent film work.
When I first started my acting career in the U.S., I ran into my fair share of scams and confusion about how this business actually worked. That experience made me curious and determined to learn the side of the industry that no one really teaches in acting schools. Over time, that curiosity grew into a passion for educating and empowering other actors to approach their careers with strategy and confidence. I began teaching Business of Acting seminars at schools and training centers, helping actors understand how to position themselves, build connections, and work smarter.
That passion evolved into a global coaching practice where I’ve helped hundreds of actors define their brand, sign with reps, and book in major markets across the United States, Canada, London, and Australia.
I’m known for my no nonsense, genuine approach and affectionately called the “no BS biz bestie” by my clients:) I’m a risk taker and a big picture thinker who loves co piloting and achieving goals alongside the actors I work with. I’m also a proud boy mama, devoted wifey, karaoke enthusiast, Sagittarius, and self development book lover.
Now, as a manager with Malissa Young Management, I represent actors worldwide in television, film, theatre, and commercials, bringing that same strategic and educational approach to every career I help shape. My coaching and management clients have worked on Only Murders in the Building, The Summer I Turned Pretty, Superman, Daredevil, The Diplomat, Chicago Med, And Just Like That, and many more.

There are tons of programs out there run by actors, but this is one of the few, if not the only, memberships run by a working talent manager. I’m in the trenches every day submitting, pitching, talking to casting directors, and collaborating with agents across the country and internationally.
You’re not just getting my coaching and feedback. You’re also learning from top agents, casting directors, and other industry pros every month who share real, inside perspective.
This isn’t a one size fits all acting class. It’s all about the business side of acting, with access to tools, contacts, and casting info most actors never get to see.
This is for actors who are serious about their careers, whether you’re still building your craft and want to get ahead on the business side, or you’re already confident and ready to move from being a great actor to a working actor. But if you’ve never taken an acting class and it’s more of a hobby, this isn’t the place for that. We’ve got members who’ve done shorts all the way up to those working on studio films and network TV, and they’re from all over the world. Mostly adults, though we do have a few teens with parental supervision.
Absolutely! This membership was designed with working actors in mind, and we know your schedule is always changing. We also want to accommodate our guests, who are working professionals in the business, as well as myself! So, the times and dates of calls change to fit different time zones and everyone’s flexibility. Everything is recorded, so you can catch the replay if you can’t attend live. You can even pre-submit questions in advance, so they’ll be answered whether it’s a coaching call, a Q&A, or a masterclass. Plus, many of our members have binged past Q&As and connected with those guests afterward, building relationships that led to representation or casting connections. It’s super flexible and tailored for busy actors like you!
You’re not just watching coaching calls or Q&As, you’re part of them. The more you show up and engage, the more you’ll get out of it. We brainstorm together, I answer your questions, and not to toot my own horn, but I’m known for remembering each member’s career and goals. You’ll feel heard, seen, and part of the family. You’ll also have a one hour onboarding session and quarterly check-ins to keep you supported from the start. And if you ever want to go even deeper, Tier 2 mentorship with a waitlist for 2026 is available for that next level of guidance.
Tier 2 includes everything in the regular membership, plus a step-by-step mentorship experience. You’ll get four in-depth courses on branding, marketing, representation, and networking, each with homework and worksheets to help you apply what you learn. You’ll also join weekly group coaching calls where we strategize your career step by step as you move through the curriculum.
Tier 2 has an application process to ensure it’s a great fit. It’s ideal for actors who already have strong craft and some experience, and are ready to define their brand, revamp their marketing, up-level or expand their team nationally or internationally, and want a customized, strategic networking plan. If that sounds like you, Tier 2 could be your next step!

This membership is a combination of coaching and a networking hub. Our clients have sent warm follow-ups and engaged live with agents and managers we’ve brought in, and quite a few have gotten signed. With casting directors, they’ve often shared their personal emails and offered internal coaching opportunities that members accessed directly. Filmmakers we’ve brought in have also made direct offers to our clients. And beyond that, actors in the membership help each other as readers, share referrals, and provide contacts for team expansion.
Management is a separate process from the membership, with its own submission and fit. While some coaching clients have become management clients, it’s never guaranteed. That said, I coach through the lens of a manager, so you’ll get that perspective in the membership. I’ll guide you as I would if I were managing you, just without the submitting, pitching, and formal management relationship.
